Google also lists it under dessert restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Chula Vista, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 10 am–8 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (619) 349-2562. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is halo-halocafe.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

I find it strange that Halo halo isn't on the menu. However, the Spam musubi and Garlic fries are awesome. In the picture I had to pull out the musubi since it was covered by fries.

The food was delicious. I ordered halo halo three weeks ago and nilagang baka. The beef was tender. We ate fried rice with fried boneless bangus in the restaurant and it was good. Then I came back today to order sinigang na bangus. The soup was good but lack of sourness a little bit of salt. I also ordered beef lumpia which we did not taste the beef. It’s like it was pork lumpia with a lot of carrots in it, and mac and cheese egg rolls. Mac and cheese egg rolls was just right .

First time visiting and loved the pork lumpia I ordered the Pancit Bihon Guisado with Chicken very big plate of it for $12-$13, did not realize it was going to be a big plate for like sharing, took the leftovers home. I think it was a fair price for the amount of pancit. Will be ordering from here again!

I came down to San Diego to attend the funeral and pay my respects to my Uncle Nesting. At the celebration of life after the ceremony, I found out one of his favorite Filipino treats was... halo-halo. So, my cousins had Halo-Halo Cafe cater. MmmMMmMMmmMM... I remember growing up with my parents (I'm Filipino, btw) and how they'd light up making halo-halo for all of us kids. Everyone sitting around, mixing, sipping, laughing, pure happiness and joy in a glass. And great childhood memories. "Should I check this place out?" If the rest of their food is as good as their halo-halo, absolutely. Their version comes stacked tall with all the mix-ins -- beans, jellies, fruit, leche flan -- and of course that big scoop of ice cream on top. They use Magnolia brand Filipino ice cream, with ube as the star, but you can switch it up with buko pandan, mais queso, and others. That little touch makes it feel like the real deal, not some watered-down version. It's refreshing, creamy, and filled to the brim. Generous enough that you almost need two people to finish one. The kind of treat that cools you down and makes you grin at the same time. The staff (shoutout to Myrle) were kind and easy to

Finally, this place is closer to my home! They have a lot of choices! One review mentioned this old lady - yes, I saw her there too. I don’t feel like she’s very happy about their job. Nevertheless, we ate there and they provided paper plates, utensils, and some water. Def would come back again!
